Sara Hua Designs 
Sara was super to work with for my wedding in April. Not only did she listen to my request to have a natural look with a focus on my eyes, but she managed to do it in a way that stayed on the whole night – despite tears, dancing and hours of photos. My fake eyelashes looked very natural and stayed on until the Wednesday of my honeymoon! I woke up every day looking like I was ready for a fancy dinner. Even my husband commented that I looked more pulled together than he did in the morning and asked if he should be doing his hair or something! Sara also did my mom’s makeup and listened to her requests to stay minimal. Despite my mom’s somewhat demanding requests to not put on too much makeup, Sara struck a happy medium between putting on enough eye makeup to make her look great (as all but she saw!) without making her feel overwhelmed and ignored. I think that anyone who could deal with my stressed, non-makeup wearing mom on my wedding day is capable of calming and pleasing the most difficult bride! I would recommend Sara to anyone.
Sara has done my makeup on MANY occasions and I always get tons of compliments on it, but my wedding was certainly one of her finest moments! I tend to wear more makeup than some people, so Sara was able to really play up my eyes and have fun with it. I was thrilled that I looked good both in person AND in pictures, which I feel is a tough balance to get right! You often either look washed out in pictures or blah in person, and Sara made sure neither of those things happened to me on my big day :). She also did two of my bridesmaids’ makeup, and we all looked fabulous! She is easy going and listens while still making sure she does what she needs to do to make you look your best. I highly recommend Sara for any of your important day makeup needs; you definitely won’t regret it!!
What can I say about Sara? Well, let’s begin with amazing! I recently got married and Sara did my makeup along with 3 of my bridesmaids. I normally do not wear any makeup except for lipstick and powder foundation so I wanted a natural look, but still wanted to have makeup applied. Leave it to Sara to make you look beautiful and amazing on your special day. My bridesmaids and I were so happy with the results. I’ve had compliments about it as well – “natural yet very stunning”. Sara is very professional and is willing to travel to your destination. I will definitely recommend her to anyone that needs a makeup artist.
Sara was a blast to work with for my wedding this past September!! She not only did my makeup but she also did the makeup for my mom, 4 bridesmaids, aunt and grandmother. Given the number of ladies in my wedding party that needed their makeup done, Sara accommodated to each of us and made the makeup application process seem so effortless, completing everyone’s makeup within the time frame she was given. On top of it all, she made us all look like natural beauties and everyone was extremely impressed with the outcome.
Sara knows her makeup and she understood how to utilize makeup to highlight certain aspects of our individual facial features. She is also very cognizant about skincare. One of my bridesmaids and I have extremely sensitive skin. Well in advance of the wedding, Sara made sure she asked the right questions regarding our skincare regime and ensured that the makeup she was using worked well with our skin. As a result, our skin had no negative reaction whatsoever to the makeup throughout the entire day.
I was extremely impressed by Sara’s professionalism. My wedding ceremony was early in the morning and given that I was on a bit of a time constraint, I stressed to each of my vendors that they arrive on time. Sara was not only on time, she arrived early and was ready to go when my wedding party and I arrived. Sara was a delight to work with and I was so glad and honored to have worked with her on one of the most important days of my life. All brides should jump at the opportunity to have a makeup artist like Sara. She is the perfect combination of being able to offer her makeup expertise and meeting all of a bride’s needs and expectations on her wedding day.
Sara treated my wedding party and me with the utmost care, patience and love. She truly listened to everything that I wanted (and didn’t want) for makeup. I don’t wear makeup often and was afraid of looking too made up and not myself on my wedding. But she did quite the opposite! I barely felt like I had any makeup on and it lasted all day and night, smudge-free, through laughter and tears.
What I loved most about my experience with Sara was how well she got along with my 4 year old niece. She made her feel so special and spent extra time on her, even though it really only took a couple of minutes to put her makeup on. My niece had such a great time and it really warmed my heart to know that the day was special for her too.
I’d recommend Sara without hesitation to anyone who is looking for a professional, caring, and personable makeup artist for their special occasion.
